Step 1

Soak rice, black gram dal and Bengal gram dal separately for 4 hours.

Step 2

Grind them together by adding water till it becomes a very fine paste. (Batter should not be very thick)

Step 3

Add salt and keep the batter overnight.

Step 4

Add turmeric powder, chopped onions, green chillies and finely cut tomatoes into the batter.

Step 5

Prepare dosas the usual way.

Step 6

:- Serve hot with chutney.


Very Good but this recipe is Uttappam not tomato omelette. Tomato omelette is actually made with besan.
