Step 1

Remove skin of tapioca and cut into small pieces.

2)Cook tapioca pieces with salt and water until tapioca pieces are softened.

Step 2

Drain excess water and keep aside.

Step 3

Grind ingredients: coconut, green chillies, cumin powder, garlic, small onion and turmeric powder without water.

Step 4

Heat a kadai, put cooked tapioca and add ground ingredients on the top.

Step 5

Cover it with a lid for 2-3 minutes for the ground ingredients to cook.

Step 6

Open the lid, stir properly so that the coconut mix is evenly distributed.

Step 7

Serve it with red meat or fish curry. Traditional kottayam style kappa is ready.
