Take the Tur Dal in bowl and wash it thoroughly twice with water. Then Keep the dal under water in the bowl for 10 minutes.2. Pour the dal in a small pressure cooker and add more water for cooking. Add some salt and boil it.3. Pour oil in frying pan. Once the oil is heated, add cumin and dry red chilli. After 15 seconds, add the chopped green chilli. Stir it well.4. Add chopped onion and some salt. Once salt is added with onion, it will release some water. Stir it well till the onion turns half brownish.5. Then add the chopped tomato and stir well.6. Add turmeric powder and stir.7. Then pour the cooked Tur dal as it is in the pan.8. Still well and boil for 3 to 5 minutes.9. Add salt if required. 10. Serve it hot with rice.Caution: Tur dal shall be boiled in such a way so as to avoid getting pasted.
