Step 1

Peel and cut the raw banana into round shapes.

Step 2

Put them in water to prevent them from darkening.

Step 3

Soak tamarind and extract the juice.

Step 4

Heat oil in a wok.

Step 5

Add mustard seeds and black gram.

Step 6

When the mustard seed splutter, add the onions and fry, till it turns pink.

Step 7

Drain the raw banana and add it to the wok.

Step 8

Add the tamarind juice, turmeric powder, sambar powder, salt and 1/2 cup water.

Step 9

Cover the pan and allow it to cook.

Step 10

When the banana is cooked, add the coconut milk and bring it to boil.

Step 11

:- Serve hot with rice.

i wanted to try something diffrent with raw banana, so i tried this recipe,it came out pretty good.my husband and myself liked it and it has became one of the usuals in our menu.
