Step 1

Pre-heat the oven to 350 F, grease an 8' cake pan with little butter.

Step 2

Put all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl and beat with a wooden spoon or an electric mixer for 1 minute, or until just combined.
:- Do not over beat the batter.

Step 3

Spoon the mixture into the tin, level the top and bake on the middle shelf of the oven for about 40-45 minutes.

Step 4

The cake is cooked when it springs back when lightly touched with a finger tip.

Step 5

It should be golden in colour and well risen.

Step 6

Let the cake sit in the tin for 5 minutes, then turn the cake out onto a wire rack to cool.

Step 7

:- Vanilla Cake is ready!!
