Step 1

Cut the plantain flowers into small pieces.

Step 2

Soak it in curd before a day which reduces the bitterness.

Step 3

Pressure cook the flowers with little salt and turmeric powder.

Step 4

Heat oil in a frying pan.

Step 5

Splutter mustard seeds.

Step 6

Add chopped onions and fry till it becomes tender.

Step 7

Add chopped tomatoes.

Step 8

Add chilly and coriander powder and fry well.

Step 9

Add the pressure cooked plantain flowers to the pan.

Step 10

Add the ground masala, salt and little water.

Step 11

Mix thoroughly.

Step 12

Cover it with a lid for 2 mins.

Step 13

:- Serve hot with chappatis.

Hey Manju I was going through your recipe and had a few questions.Do i have to pressure cook the curd soaked vazhapoo in water with the salt n turmeric?if so should i wash off all the curd ? pls reply jr
