Step 1

Boil the potatoes and the yam.

Step 2

Mash them and keep aside.

Step 3

Grind together the garlic, ginger, green chillies and salt to a paste.

Step 4

Mix together the above paste, lime juice, coriander leaves and the mashed potato-yam mixture.

Step 5

Divide this mixture into equal portions.

Step 6

Grease a 1/4" thick wooden stick and wrap each of the portions evenly around the stick.

Step 7

Shape the seekh and gently slide off the needle.

Step 8

Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.

Step 9

:- Serve hot.
