In a kadai, heat little oil. Fry curry leaves and ladies finger. Fry till done.
Add onion chopped and fry for 3 minutes. Add ginger-garlic and fry again.

Add turmeric, chilli powder and salt.
Add half cup of water and cook the masala.6) Add the coconut milk and bring to boil. (I have used coconut milk powder mix).
In another pan, splutter mustard seeds. Add shallots and red chillies. Add the curry leaves also.8) Add this to the prepared gravy and serve hot with rice / appam etc.
