Directions

Step 1

For preparing wheat athirasam, add 3/4 cup of water to the jaggery.

Step 2

Boil this solution and lowering flame add all the other ingredients except coconut oil and stir well.

Step 3

After 3-5 minutes, remove from the fire. Close with a lid and keep aside.

Step 4

On cooling knead the dough well and make balls having the size of a large gooseberry.

Step 5

Flatten the ball into small circles on a plastic sheet/banana leaf.

Step 6

Fry these in coconut oil.

Step 7

Wheat athirasam is ready.
