Ingredients

  • Thoor dal 1 cup
    spinach 1 cup
    Small onion 1 cup
    Tomato 1 no.
    Red chilli 2 no.
    Green chilli 2 no.
    Garlic 4 no.
    Turmeric powder 1 tsp
    Salt to taste
    Gingerly oil 1 tsp
    Oil 3 tsp
    Mustard 1 tsp
    Cumin seed 1 tsp
    Broken black gram 1 tsp
    Curry leaves 1 bunch

chop the onion, tomato, red chilli and green chilli

clean the spinach and wash it

boil the thoor dal by adding turmeric powder, salt, garlic, gingerly oil

once thoor dal get 3/4 th boiled add spinach and allow to boil for 15 mins until the thoor dal get boiled

in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken bangal gram, cumin seed.w

add also temper the curry leaves, red chilli and green chilli and asafoetida

add onion and saute it until it get brown

add tomato and fry for 5 min

now required salt and mix well and allow to fry for 10 mins

then put the onion masala into the dal spinach and mix well and allow to boil for 5 mins
