Matar mushroom curry is a thick gravy cooked with green peas and mushrooms . It is prepared in a north indian style in a easy way just right to serve with rotis. Matar mushroom is a spicy onion tomato based creamy gravydone with the richness of cashew and fresh cream. i made it with dried peas but you also make it with fresh green peas.

Ingredients

  • green peas dried 1 cup
    (soaked for 2 hr)
    mushroom 11/2 cup
    jeera 1 sp
    ginger garlic paste 1 sp
    onions 1 cup sliced
    tomatoes chopped 1 cup
    salt to taste
    garam masala 1/2 sp
    cashew powder 1 sp
    turmeric powder 1/2 sp
    red chilli powder 2 sp
    fresh cream 2 sp
    kasturi methi 1 sp (optional)

heat oil add jeer and ginger garlic paste

simmer till oil oozes out and add fresh cream and kasturi methi and serve
