Modhagam

Mothagam is a sweet made during Ganesha Chathurthi, a Hindu festival. This has a sweet filling inside and it's covered with rice dough.These mothagams are not very sweet they are mild sweet but if you prefer you can add more jaggery. The filling inside can be of different choices .It is preferably healthy since it is a steamed sweet.

soak rice for 1 hr, and dry it in shade

with a pinch of salt pour boiling water to it and make a dough

dry roast sesame seeds, coconut

grind to a powder with jaggery

pat the white dough, fill with jaggery powder close in all sides and steam it 5 mins.
