Ingredients

  • moong dal 1 cup
    small onion 1 cup
    tomato 2 no.
    green chili 4 no.
    red chili 2 no.
    garlic 4 no.
    salt to taste
    turmeric powder 1 tsp
    oil 5 tsp
    mustard 1 tsp
    broken black gram 1/2 tsp
    fennel seed 1/2 tsp
    curry leaves 1 bunch

fry the moong dal in the pan without adding oil

broke the fried moong dal.

boil the broken moong dal by adding water, tomato, green chili, salt, turmeric powder and garlic

once it get boiled, smash the boiled moong dal as shown the picture

in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken black gram and fennel seeds

add curry leaves, red chili and onion, saute it until the onion turn into brown

add the onion mixtures into the moong dal and mix well. add salt if needed

moong dal curry is ready. serve with rice, chappati or roti
