Molly Rajan loves to express herself through food and art. She has successfully show-cased her talents at various international art and cooking competitions. Growing up, she found herself being uprooted every three years as her father was posted to different locations in and around southeast Asia. As a result, she was constantly interacting and learning from new cultures, including Chinese, Filipino, Indonesian, Thai and Malaysian, which has influenced her taste and cooking style. She also credits her mother, a fantastic cook who traces her lineage to the Panicker family's Kundra region. An enterprising woman, she setup a restaurant in Malaysia that became so popular that there always was a queue outside to taste her biriyani, appam and stew.
