  1. Take all the ingredients and keep it ready
  2. Heat oil in a pan,splutter mustard seed and add dry red chilly and chopped shallots.saute for 5 minutes.
  3. Then add green chillies and tomato.
  4. Cook the tomatoes in the oil until soft,then add all powders and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked dal and stir well.Simmer until thick, about 10-15 minutes low flame.
