Instructions
  1. For preparing badam payasam, soak almonds in a cup of water over night.
  2. Soak the saffron in cold milk and keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
  3. Peel off the skin of almonds. Blend it with milk to make a fine paste.
  4. Cook the almond paste with 1 cup of sugar. Keep mixing till it cooks for 10 minutes on low flame.
  5. Add the remaining sugar and keep stirring the mixture.
  6. Pour in the remaining milk and allow it to boil for 15 minutes on low flame.
  7. Add the soaked saffron and mix well.
  8. Badam payasam is ready.
