Instructions
  1. For preparing baked bread pudding, butter the bread and cut it into cubes.
  2. Blend milk, eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla essence. Add in the bread cubes and mix well.
  3. Pour the egg mixture into a buttered baking dish and sprinkle nutmeg.
  4. Place the dish in a pan of hot water and bake it in the oven at 180 degrees celsius(350 degrees F) for 45 minutes to an hour.
  5. Insert a knife in the centre. If it comes out clean, remove the dish from the oven.
  6. Baked bread pudding is ready. Serve with plain or whipped cream.
