Instructions
  1. For preparing baked spinach, cut the stems of the spinach and chop the leaves and squeeze the moisture out.
  2. Melt butter in a dish and toss in the spinach leaves.
  3. Prepare a white sauce by melting butter in another pan. Add in maida, grated cheese, milk, salt and pepper, stirring all along for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  4. Pour the white sauce over the spinach and stir well.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, red pepper, mace and nutmeg.
  6. Transfer the spinach mixture into a greased dish.
  7. Beat eggs and pour it evenly over the spinach.
  8. Put tomato wedges on the sides and bake it at 180 degrees celsius(350 degrees F) for 15 minutes in the oven.
  9. Baked spinach is ready.
