  • Desiccated coconut - 2 cups
  • Saffron threads - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar(As reqd) -

  • Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
  • Raisins(Unakka munthiri) - 1/2 cup
  • Cashew nuts(chopped) - 4 tbsp
  • Cardamoms(powdered, Elakka) - 2 nos

Instructions
  1. For preparing beetroot ladoos, boil milk with saffron threads. Once the milk boils remove the saffron thread.
  2. In a vessel cook beetroot, desiccated coconut, sugar, boiled milk and condensed milk on low flame. Keep stirring it till it starts to thicken.
  3. Remove from the flame.
  4. Add in the chopped cashew nuts and cardamom powder. Mix well and allow it to cool.
  5. Make lime size balls and place a raisin on top of the ladoos.
  6. Beetroot ladoos are ready.
