  • Brinjals(big)(Vazhuthananga) – 2nos
  • Chilly powder – 1tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  • Water 2
  • Asafoetida(A pinch, Kayam) –
  • Oil 1/2cup
  1. Clean and cut the brinjals into thin round shapes.
  2. Make a paste with chilly powder, salt, turmeric powder, asafoetida and water.
  3. Marinate the brinjals in the above paste for 1/2 an hour.
  4. Deep fry the brinjals in oil.
  5. Cook on both sides, till light brown.
  6. :- Instead of brinjals, potatoes could be used.
