  • Sugar - 1/2 Cup
  • Milk - 2 Cups
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder(A pinch, Elakka) -
  • Raisins(dried grapes) - 7 nos
  • Cashew nuts(Kashuvandi) - 7 nos
  • Cashew paste(Cashew nuts ground with water) - 1 tsp

Instructions
  1. Heat 1/2 tbsp ghee in a pan.Roast the cashew and raisins and keep it aside.
  2. To the pan, add another 1/2 tbsp of ghee and add grated carrot and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add milk and boil(stirring frequently) till a thick paste is obtained.
  4. Add sugar and saute till the mixture does not stick to the sides.
  5. Add remaining ghee, cardamom powder, raisins , cashew nuts, cashew paste and saute for 1 minute.(too much sauting in ghee will make the mixture rubbery)
  6. Note:- This recipe is of medium sweetness. Sweet lovers can add 3/4 - 1 cup of sugar as well!!!
