Channa Biriyani
Channa biriyani is protein packed dish with great aroma of spices and is one of the most preferred lunch. This is easy to do with in 30 minutes.

  • Channa( Soaked over night and boiled) – 1cup
  • Rice – 1 1/2cup
  • Shallots – 10
  • Tomato 1
  • Green chili – 2+
  • Cloves, cinnamon – 2+
  • Mint and coriander – 1/4cup
  • Bay leaf – 1
  • Cardamom(- 1) –
  • Onion 1chopped
  • Coconut milk 1cup
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2tsp
  • Oil 5tlbsp
  • Ghee 1tsp
  • Salt(as taste) –
  1. In a Jar and Shallots, tomato, cloves and cardamom and mint and coriander Grind well and keep aside. Soak rice and keep aside
  2. in a pan add oil and ghee ,temper bay leaf, cloves,cinnamon and cardamom
  3. Now add onion and green chili. saute well
  4. Now add Ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes out
  5. Now add Grind paste and saute well till that raw smell goes
  6. Now add salt and boiled Channa
  7. Now add Coconut milk and 1 more cup water ( 1 : 2 for rice) Bring to boil
  8. When it boils add rice and stir well close lid cook for 10 minutes low flame
  9. Now open lid and mix lightly and turn to serve bowl
  10. Now its ready to serve Channa Biriyani
