Chettinad Uralai Varuval is one very scrumptious dry curry. This is simple version of Chettinad uralai varuval. this is delicious and tangy taste after adding tamarind water. this recipe goes well with sambar sadham, rasam and curd.

  1. Heat the oil in the pan and temper the mustard and curry leaves and saute the onion for 3 mins
  2. add tomato and mix well
  3. add ginger garlic paste, black pepper, salt, turmeric powder and chettinad masala and mix well
  4. Add cubed potatoes and mix it
  5. add tamarind water and little water and allow to cook the potato
  6. once water get dry and masala get mix well with potatoes, turn off the flame
  7. Now chettinad uralai varuval is ready to serve.
