Instructions
  1. For preparing chicken in coconut tomato gravy, blend the onions to a fine paste and keep it aside.
  2. Then blend in tomatoes and green chillies into a fine paste.Keep it aside.
  3. In a bowl mix in turmeric powder, chilly powder, pepper powder, chicken masala, coriander powder and garam masala with a little water. Keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and splutter cumin seeds.
  5. Saute in the onion paste till it becomes golden brown in colour.
  6. Then add ginger- garlic paste and salt. Saute it for 2 minutes on low flame.
  7. Pour in the above masala mixture and sautT it for 1 minute on low flame.
  8. Toss in the tomato mixture and sautT for 5 minutes on low flame.
  9. Add in the chicken pieces and mix it well. Close the lid and allow the chicken to cook with a little water.
  10. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix coconut milk powder with the coconut milk. Keep it aside.
  11. Once the chicken is done, pour in the coconut milk mixture and allow it to simmer till it becomes a bit thick.
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves and remove it from the oven.
  13. Chicken in coconut tomato gravy is ready. Serve hot.
