Instructions
  1. Saute all ingredients for grinding, in oil: garam masala, kalpasi, curry leaves, ginger, fennel seeds, cummin seeds, coriander seeds, red chillies, poppy seeds, pepper corns, coconut, shallots, garlic, cashew nuts and fried gram dal. Grind to a fine paste.
  2. Clean and wash chicken. Cut into small pieces.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai and add bay leaf, star anise, garam masala, marathi mokku and fennel seeds. Let it crackle.
  4. Add ginger paste and chopped tomatoes. Saute well.
  5. Add garam masala powder, salt and previously ground masala. Cook till the raw flavor is gone.
  6. Add chicken pieces and cook slowly till tender.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
