Instructions
  1. For preparing coconut gravy chicken, marinate the chicken pieces in turmeric poder, pepper powder, chilly powder, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice and salt. Keep it aside for 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces till it becomes light brown. Remove it from the flame and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in another vessel.
  4. Add in the cinnamon sticks, cardamom and fennel seeds. Saute it for a minute.
  5. Then add the sliced onions and saute till transperent.
  6. Then add the slit green chillies, salt, curry leaves and ginger-garlic paste. Saute for 1 minute on lo flame.
  7. Toss in the chopped tomatoes and saute well.
  8. Sprinkle in turmeric powder, pepper powder and chilly powder. Saute it for 1 minute.
  9. Pour the thin coconut milk. Allow the coconut milk to simmer for 5 minutes(do not boil it).
  10. Toss in the fried chicken and cook covered on low heat for 10 minutes till the gravy starts to thicken(do not boil it). 11)Last pour in the thick coconut milk and allow it to simmer for another 5 minutes.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  12. Coconut gray chicken is ready. Serve hot with porata, bread.
