Instructions
  1. For preparing crab stuffed chillies, clean the crabs and cook it in boiling water with salt. Drain the water and pinch out flesh and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a vessel and sautT the onion till it becomes transparent.
  3. Add in salt and grated ginger. Saute for 2 minutes on low flame.
  4. Then sprinkle in chilly powder, turmeric powder, meat masala powder and pepper powder.
  5. Toss in the tomato and sautT in low flame till the tomato becomes mushy.
  6. Then add in the crab flesh and curry leaves. Mix well and close the lid and allow it to cook on low flame for 2 minutes till it becomes dry. Remove it from the flame and keep it aside.
  7. In a bowl mix in gram powder, chilly powder, asafoetida, salt and required water to make a thick batter. Keep it aside.
  8. Make a slit on the big chillies and remove the seeds.
  9. Stuff the chillies with the crab mixture and repeat with the remaining chillies.
  10. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Dip the crab stuffed chillies in the batter and fry it in oil till it becomes brown.
  11. Crab stuffed chillies are ready. Serve hot as a snack.
