Instructions
  1. For preparing easy tamarind rice, heat ghee in a vessel, sautT the cashews, peanuts and split chick peas. Remove it and keep it aside.
  2. Add in mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
  3. Then toss in cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, turmeric powder and dry red chillies. Mix it well.
  4. Toss in the basmati rice and sautT it for 1 minute on low flame.
  5. Pour in the tamarind juice and water with required salt. Allow it to cook on low flame with the lid till the water is absorbed completely.
  6. Garnish with curry leaves, roasted cashew nuts, peanuts and split chick peas.
  7. Easy tamarind rice is ready. Serve hot with any gravy.
