  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, uzhunnu parippu and kadala parippu. Saute until golden in color.
  2. Add chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves. Fry until onion becomes transparent.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cooked green peas. Saute in low heat.
  4. Add turmeric powder and required salt. Pour 2 cups water and leave it to boil.
  5. When water starts boiling, lower the heat and add roasted vermicelli. Cook until done.
  6. Sprinkle sprouted cherupayar and stir gently until water has evaporated completely.
  7. Easy Vermicelli upma, an ideal breakfast dish is ready. Serve hot.
