Ghee Rice Restaurant Style
An easy recipe for ghee rice

Ingredients
  • Basmati rice – 3cups
  • Ghee 2tsp
  • Onion 1no
  • Carrot 1/2of
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  • Cardamom 2
  • Cinnamon – 2
  • Cloves 2
  • Water 6cups
  • Fried onions, raisins and cashew nuts for garnishing –
  • Coriander leaves –
Instructions
  1. Soak rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain and keep it aside.
  2. In a deep pan, heat ghee.
  3. Add the whole spices and saute for a few seconds.
  4. Add chopped onion and carrot and saute for some time.
  5. Add 6 cups of water.
  6. When the water boils, add rice and salt.
  7. Cover and cook till the water is fully absorbed and the rice is cooked.
  8. Transfer the contents to a serving platter.
  9. Garnish with fried onions, raisins, cashew nuts and coriander leaves.
