Hibiscus Tea
This drink is made from Hibiscus petals and has been consumed for thousands of years. It is easy to make and has many health benefits. You can serve this hot or cold.

  • Hibiscus 3 –
  • water 1cup –
  • Ginger 1tspn –
  • Sugar 1 tspn –
  • Lemon juice 1 tspn –
  1. Take all the ingredients and keep it ready.If using fresh hibiscus flowers, remove the calyx or the green part at the base of the flower to which the stem is attached. You can also remove the pistil which is the thin thread like tube in the middle of the flower which has pollens attached to it or you can choose to keep it. You don’t need to do this if you are using dried flowers.
  2. Bring the ginger pieces and water to boil in a large pot.
  3. Take a glass and add the hibiscus flower petals into it.
  4. Pour the boiled ginger water and let it for 10-15 seconds and strain the tea.
  5. Add lemon juice,
  6. And sugar,Mix in the sugar and lime juice till completely combined.
  7. You can either serve hibiscus tea warm or you can chill it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. Either way it tastes delicious!
