  1. Wash and soak the rice for 4 to 6 hours. Then drain and add it to a mixer grinder.
  2. Add sugar,a pinch of salt and water as required.Grind the rice coarsely .
  3. Convert it to a bowl and add all-purpose flour,and make a smooth batter
  4. Add black cumin seed and keep the batter for 6-8 hours for fermentation.The batter should be a smooth flowing consistency. Not too thick or thin.
  5. Pour 2-3 tbsp batter in the Appakara, Keep turning the Appam frequently until cooked. Make One side White colour and the other side Brown
  6. Serve it Warm
