Instructions
  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with a mixture of 1/2 tbsp chilly powder, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp salt. Mix everything together and keep aside for 1/2 hour.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan. Dry fry marinated chicken till it get half cooked. Remove chicken pieces and keep aside.
  3. Saute onions and green chillies in the remaining oil. Add more oil if needed. When it turns light brown, add ginger-garlic paste. Then add remaining coriander powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder, cardamon, cloves and cinnamon.
  4. Stir in chicken pieces and mix well. After that, add tomato and salt as required.
  5. Mix well and add 1/2 cup of water. Let it boil. Cover the pan and keep in simmering heat till chicken gets well cooked (for about 15 minutes).
  6. Add coconut milk and heat in low flame. Remove pan from fire before boiling starts.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
