  • Tamarind 1lemon
  • Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  • Red chilly – 2
  • Hing – 1/4tsp
  • Salt(As per taste) –
  • Roast & Grind –
  • Oil 1tsp
  • Coriander seed – 2tbsp
  • Red chilly – 6
  • Channa dal – 1tbsp
  • Urad dal – 2tsp
  • Fenugreek – 1/2tsp
  • Pepper – 1tsp
  • Sesame seed – 2tsp
For Temper:
  • Gingelly oil 2tbsp
  • Mustard seed – 1tsp
  • Channa dal – 2tsp
  • Peanut – 1tbsp
  • Curry leaves 1string
  • Cooked rice – 2cup
  1. Soak tamarind and extract the juice and keep aside.
  2. fry well except sesame seed and at last minute add sesame seed, turn off and allow to cool.
  3. Make coarse powder and keep aside
  4. In pan add oil temper all ingredients and when peanut and channa dal roast add red chilly and curry leaves.
  5. Now add tamarind water and turmeric, hing, salt bring boil.
  6. When raw smell goes out add grind powder and cook for 10 minutes in medium flame.
  7. Whenever need add more oil and turn off when oil comes out.
  8. Now Puli sadham mixture is ready and can store in airtight container and use for 2 times.
  9. Now add 4 tbsp of puli sadham mixture and mix gently and serve.
  10. Now Kovil Puli sadham is ready.
