Lololikka Achar is a pickle prepared with the red cranberry. Pickles are an important delicacy present in almost all parts of the world. Lololikkas or loobikkas are abundant during summer season and you can prepare pickles and relish with noon day meals. Authentic Lololikka Achar or Pickle is mixed with an infusion of mustard oil, fenugreek and other spices. Lololikka Pickle is the best combo with curd rice. Keralites always relish spicy, hot pickles or achars, especially during lunch and dinner. Lololikkas are nutritious too, rich in vitamins, minerals and a power house of anti oxidants too. The slightly sweet and basically tangy nature of cranberries holds a distinct flavor and is branded a favorite with rice gruel too.
