  1. Mix together all the ingredients(except oil) to form a smooth batter.
  2. Heat oil in a wok or frying pan on a medium flame.
  3. Test with a piece of bread: should fry up crisp, without burning.
  4. Spoon in 1 tbsp of batter at a time. Do not crowd.
  5. When batter plumps up and rises to the surface, turn over with a slotted spoon, turn again.
  6. Drain well on paper towels.
  7. Let cool completely before storing in a clean, dry tin.
  8. :- Serve within 1 week.
