  1. For preparing mashed potato fry, first mash well the potatoes.
  2. Mix chilly powder, required salt and chopped onion.
  3. Heat oil in a kadai and splutter mustard seeds.
  4. Add the potato mix and fry it in low flame till it becomes dark and crispy.
  5. Add curry leaves and fry it.
  6. Tasty side dish for curd rice.
