  1. For preparing meen thakkali curry, heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  2. Add onion, curry leaves and ginger. Saute till the onion turns light brown in color.
  3. Then add chilly powder, fish masala, turmeric powder and salt. Saute until the oil starts to separate.
  4. Toss in the fish pieces and fry it lightly.
  5. Put in the tomato and curry leaves.
  6. Pour in the coconut milk, kudampuli and enough water. Stir it in intervals till the fish is done.
  7. Meen thakkali curry is ready. Serve hot with rice.
