For preparing mussels in banana leaf, take a bowl and mix in mussels, spring onions, coconut oil, lime juice, tomato, chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, salt and pepper. Keep it aside for half an hour.
Take a banana leaf and place the mussels in between and close it. Secure it by tying a thread around it.
Steam the mussel wrapped in banana leaf in an idly vessel. Allow it to cook.
Mussels in banana leaf is ready. Serve as a starter.
