Ingredients
  • Mutton(cut into small pieces) – 1kg
  • Curd/Yoghurt(whisked) – 200gm
  • Onion(sliced) – 1kg
  • Tomatoes(sliced) – 500gm
  • Bay leaves(Karuga ela) – 5nos
  • Black cardamoms(Elakka) – 6nos
  • Green cardamoms(Elakka) – 6nos
  • Cloves(Grambu) – 5nos
  • Cinnamom stick(Karugapatta) – 1piece
  • Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) – 1tbsp
  • Oil 200ml
  • Ginger(garlic paste – 50 gm) –
  • Coriander leaves – 1tbsp
  • Green chillies 1tbsp
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  2. Add bay leaves, black and green cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon stick and cumin seeds.
  3. When they become brown, add onions. Saute till onion become brown.
  4. Add mutton and cook well on a low flame.
  5. Add curd/yoghurt, tomato, ginger and garlic paste and cook for 15 minutes.
  6. When mutton becomes tender, garnish with coriander and green chilli.
  7. :- Serve with Roti , Nan or Rice.
