  1. Boil the toor dhal with enough water in the cooker for only two whistles.
  2. :- It should be just boiled and not too soft.
  3. Cut the onion, tomoto and chilies into small pieces.
  4. Take oil in a frying pan and heat it.
  5. Add cumin seeds, chopped garlic, ginger, onion and green chilies.
  6. Fry the mixture on medium flame for 3 – 4 mins.
  7. Stir the mixture periodically.
  8. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric pdr, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and salt and fry again on a medium flame for about 5 mins.
  9. Pour cooked dal into this and mix thoroughly.
  10. Cook until dal is cooked.
  11. :- Serve it garnished with chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice.
