  1. Heat oil in a vessel.
  2. Add cumin seeds, slit green chillies, sliced onion and garlic cloves and fry them till they are done (brown).
  3. Add chopped and washed spinach and fry for some time.
  4. Add the washed rice and fry till the rice becomes transparent.
  5. Add water to the ratio of 1:2 to the rice.
  6. Add salt and cook as you cook the regular rice.
