Grated pappaya mixed with rice powder, grated spinach and carrot to make puttu

  • Rice flour – 1cup
  • Pappaya(grated) – 1/2cup
  • Spinach(finely chopped, Cheera) – 1/4cup
  • Carrot(grated) – 1/4cup
  • Ginger(chopped) – 1tsp
  • Coconut(As reqd, grated) –
  • Salt(As reqd) –
  1. Take a wide bottomed vessel and pour rice flour. Add grated pappaya, chopped spinach, grated carrot, ginger and required salt.
  2. Sprinkle sufficient water to make a consistency of puttu.
  3. Fill the base part of a puttu maker with grated coconut and fill the remaining portion with rice flour mix.
  4. Pass steam until the pappaya puttu is ready and serve hot.
