  1. Grind the ginger and garlic and keep the paste ready
  2. Add salt and boil the peas and keep it ready
  3. Cut the onion lengthwise. Chillies and pudhina washed and set aside. For the spicy lovers chillies can be split lengthwise
  4. Heat ghee in a vessel
  5. When the ghee is heated add cinnamon, cardamom and cloves
  6. Add the onion and chillies and fry till it turns golden brown
  7. Add the mint leaves
  8. Add the ginger garlic paste and sauté for about 2 minutes
  9. Now add the rice and fry till the water in the rice gets absorbed
  10. Add water in 1:2 ratio and open cook. When the rice is done add the coriander and peas
  11. Mix it well. Be careful not to break the rice. Serve hot with raita or any gravy
