Ingredients
Ingredient:
  • Basmati rice or Raw rice (optional) = 1cup –
  • onions=2nos –
  • Tomato=2nos –
  • Pudalangai (snake Gourd)= 1 large –
  • Salt : as reqd –
  • TO GRIND –
  • Ginger : 1 inch –
  • Garlic : 4 nos –
  • Green Chilly= 3nos –
  • Grated Coconut = 1 1/2 tablespoon –
  • Jeera =1/2 tsp –
  • Mint and Corriander leaves –
Instructions
  1. • Sock rice for half an hour
  2. • Chop onions, tomatoes, pudalangai
  3. • Grind ginger garlic green chillies coconut jeera mint and coriander
  4. • In pan heat oil add temper with the items given under to temper table.
  5. • Add onions fry for few mins
  6. • Add tomatoes and cook well upto mix and disappear
  7. • Add grind paste
  8. • Add pudalangai mix it well and wait upto cook the vegetable
  9. • Add salt and water as u requied (for rice 2:1 ratio) add rice
  10. • Close the pressure cooker and keep the flame in lowest flame possible and cook for 12 – 14 mins. Or you can also keep for 2 whistles in medium flame also. Open and fluff the pulav carefully and mix ghee.
