Punjabi Rajma Curry
Soaked rajma is cooked in a spicy onion tomato mixture and served with roti/rice

  1. For preparing Punjabi rajma curry, firstgrind together the ingredients: red chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala,coriander powder, onion, tomato, ginger and garlic in paste form and keep thismix separately.
  2. Soak Rajma(Kidney Beans) for about 6hours and cook it in a pressure cooker adding 3-4 cups of water and salt totaste. Keep the cooked Rajma separately.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Once the oilgets heated, add the paste and fry it till the paste turns brown in colour.
  4. Once the paste turns brown, add thecooked Rajma and water(as required) and bring to a boil. Add salt to tasteand let it cook for 5 minutes in low flame.
  5. Garnish Punjabi rajma curry withcoriander leaves and serve with Roti or Rice.
