Instructions
  1. For preparing simple cake, preheat oven at 180 degrees celcius.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Keep it aside.
  3. In a bowl beat butter till it becomes fluffy.
  4. Add in sugar slowly in the butter, mixing it till it dissolves.
  5. Then add the eggs one by one mixing it well.
  6. Slowly add in the maida little by little. Keep mixing till it becomes smooth lump free batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the baking tin and bake it for 40 minutes or till it becomes golden brown in colour. (Pierce the cake with a toothpick in the centre to check if it is cooked)
  8. Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely before removing it from the tin.
  9. Simple cake is ready.
