  • Brown rice(Unakkalari(Unakkalari) – 500g
  • Ghee 100g
  • Jaggery(sharkara) – 2kg
  • Dry coconut(chopped) – 1/2of
  • Ripe Banana(chopped) – 10nos
  • Cardamom(crushed, Elakka) – 5nos
  1. For preparing simple kadum payasam, boil 6 cups of water and add rice in it.
  2. When water starts to evaporate, add jaggery and ghee. Mix it well.
  3. Add chopped banana and mix well.
  4. When it thickens, remove from flame.
  5. Add coconut chopped and crushed cardamom.
  6. Simple kadum payasam is ready.
