Ingredients
  • mutton 1 kg –
  • biriyani rice 5 cups –
  • green chilli 15 –
  • ginger garlic paste 1 cup –
  • turmeric 1 sp –
  • spices: cinnamon 4 –
  • cloves 15 –
  • cardamom 15 –
  • star annise 1 –
  • bay leaf 3 –
  • mint leaf 1/2 cup –
  • onion 1 cup (sliced) –
  • tomato 6 – 7
  • Salt to taste –
  • oil 1 tablespoon –
  • Ghee(as needed) –
Instructions
  1. cook meat with 2 sp ginger garlic paste , 2 chilli, salt 1/2 sp, turmeric
  2. soak rice for 1/2 an hour
  3. heat oil and ghee then add spices..
  4. to it add green chilli and mint leafs and rest of ginger garlic paste and saute for sometime.
  5. add onion and tomatoes and cook till soft
  6. now add cooked meat and salt
  7. now add 10 cups of hot water.
  8. check salt, drain rice and add to the boiling water.
  9. when the rice is half cooked and water level and rice level reaches the same, cover with lid and simmer it 5-6 mins
  10. allow it to rest for another 15 mins and serve with raitha and gravy
