  • Chicken(chopped) – 250g
  • Spring onions(chopped) – 1tbsp
  • Ginger(chopped) – 1inch
  • Light soya sauce – 2tbsp
  • Dark soya sauce – 1/2tsp
  • Star anise(Thakkolam) – 1no
  • Sugar 1tsp
  • Water 250ml
  1. For preparing soya chicken, take a vessel and boil water.
  2. Add in the chicken, spring onions and ginger. Allow it to boil on low flame for 2 minutes.
  3. Then add in the light soya sauce, dark soya sauce, star anise and sugar. Allow it to simmer on low flame for 30 minutes in a covered pan.
  4. Remove the chicken pieces from the liquid.
  5. Soya chicken is ready. Serve hot.
